The art in this second volume by John R. Neill was sourced from a 1918 edition of L. Frank Baum’s The Tin Woodman of Oz. This is the twelfth book in the Land of Oz series where the boy Woot does on an adventure with the Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, Tin Soldier, and Polychrome, the Rainbow’s Daughter. Ozma also makes an appearance to try and reverse the spell that turns Woot into a monkey.
In order to preserve the original proportions and to present double-page spreads as a single coloring page, some of the images are presented in a landscape format.
This PDF version of The Art of John R. Neill, Vol. 2, contains the same number of illustrations as the print version. You will find all of the pages represented in the Product Gallery. There are 20 full page (8.5″ x 11″) illustrations, and 20, 4” x 6” images as postcard-sized close-ups of the preceding artwork.
