William Wallace Denslow was the first illustrator for the Land of Oz books. These illustrations were sourced from three copies ofL. Frank Baum’s The Wizard of Oz, published in 1900, 1901, and 1903, as later issues had different art. Here you’ll find the original renderings of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion, the Wizard, and even the Wicked Witch – who looks nothing like her movie counterpart.

This PDF version of The Art of w. w. Denslow, Vol. 1, contains the same number of illustrations as the print version. You will find all 25 of the full page(8.5″ x 11″) illustrations represented in the Product Gallery.
